Color maps, double-page (tipped in) and single page, color illustrations and graphs, black and white illustrations, decorative endpapers, 250pp, 14 x 11 3/4 inches, decorative embossed cloth covered boards (hardbound). Front and rear hinges split and loose but still attached, covers soiled and rubbed; scattered foxing to title page and occasional pages (mainly in outer margins), ink and pencil notations to text page (Vermont), one map is partially detached from binding tab with slightly worn edge but otherwise the text block is tight. Maps in very good condition.

All double page maps are tipped in; most of the maps are double sided. There are also illustrations of Flags of All Nations, Bird's-Eye-View of the Holy Land, Astronomical Chart, plus "Historical and Descriptive Facts of the States and Territories of the United States" with in-text black and white illustrations, an "Historical Chronology for One Hundred and Twenty-Four Years" with in-text illustrations of places around the world.
