Currency Notes of the Palestine Currency Board. This book is the result of an intensive and comprehensive five-year study in which more than 3000 documents were consulted.
Much information was collected from over twenty archives, banknote collections and collectors and many interviews were conducted, making it a unique and groundbreaking study. The book runs to 424 pages and includes colour illustration of all known currency notes, identified by date and prefix, proofs and die proofs of unissued designs, World War II emergency proofs, sketches and much more. Many of them are published here for the first time and some are the only recorded examples in existence. Raphael (Rafi) Dabbah was born in 1972 in Tel Aviv.Degree in Economics and an LL. Raphael has been a numismatist for the past twenty-five years. He is the author of several articles on banknotes, among them a comprehensive guide for official books and research published by central banks and issuing authorities. In 1999, he began his pioneering research concerning the currency notes of the Palestine Currency Board, leading eventually to the publication of this book in 2005. Today he is recognised as one of the top systematic researchers on the subject.
