These beautiful illustration booklets were distributed weekly in the New York Sunday Daily Times, sometime between 1894 and 1896 and represent the first time quality photographs were taken of the masterpiece art works from around the world and brought to the average person. There was a charge for this but was greatly reduced by the newspaper company. There appears to be 2 issues with no Volume numbers on them.
I believe these might have been the first ones as if they didn't know at the time that it would continue and become a numbered collection. The pages are in good condition. Some edge wear but no major rips, stains or writing. 6 has it's dust cover and it has come away at the seam.
