RARE Original 1976 The New Yorker cover View of the World from 5th Ave

  

Listing is a RARE poster of SAUL STEINBERG'S 1976 NEW YORKER cover, titled OLDE NEW YORK A VIEW OF THE WORLD FROM 5TH AVENUE. It has been called by Wary Meyers as Steinberg's "rare view to the East, " comparing it to his other , more known cover, titled New York, a View of the World from 9th Avenue. You can tell by the parchment and the frame that this is the real deal. This is literally a piece of NYC History!

The frame is a bit worn with a slight crack near the bottom, and serves more as protection at this point. The hanging string on the back is dis-attached on one end as well. You can easily fix the frame, but you'd probably want an upgraded modern black frame for the piece at this point. Size: 33 L x 24 W inches. Please respond with any and all questions!!
